Main Focus

My research focuses on social interactions in marine fishes. In particular, I am interested in a novel behaviour we recently discovered between a wrasse and a goatfish species. These fish form heterospecific producer-scrounger feeding relationships in which the wrasse occasionally touches the goatfish, likely to gain increased access to food. However, the ecology and exact circumstances for this behaviour remain to be explored.
