Hennhouse

"All men by nature desire knowledge" (Aristoteles)

In our fancy interactive media house you can inform yourself about current research of our institute. Just drop by.

Opening Hours:
December - February
daily 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

March - November
daily 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

15 Computers and 5 projectors transform the old chicken coop at the mill into the “Hennhouse.” Researchers show medial productions of their current research projects here. Visitors can chill out among the worldwide research, dance to bird migration, swim with the schooling fish, and accompany the ISS on its flight through space. Knowledge can be experienced; it becomes a playground, a disco, it’s a medial installation, a walk to church: research becomes reals and individual images and unique memories are formed.  “We spent three hours in the Hennhouse and completely forgot the time.  We danced on the migration routes and sat in the jungle and listened to the bird calls” said one participant.
