This dance performance developed by Mounir Saeed  is not about copying or imitating animal movement. Instead, the animals serve as solid references for the psychological triggers that drive survival – control, protection, shelter-building, and migration. »PULSE« seeks to bridge the gap between species by creating a dialogue between animal and human bodies, leading to a deeper understanding of both. Through this process, Mounir Saeed seeks to uncover new perspectives on movement, communication, and the potential of dance as a universal language. more

The conversation “Living in the Interstitium,” which was initiated by researcher Vivek Hari Sridhar as part of the Winterfest at Akademie Schloss Solitude in December 2023, reflected on the collaboration between art and science through the interstitium – a recently discovered tissue in the human body that connects blood vessels, nerves and organs. Together with artists from various disciplines and researchers from the Max Planck Institute, the discussion was an invitation to think about the different ways of working at the intersection of arts and sciences. more
