Main Focus
My research addresses the behavioral ecology of free-ranging bearded capuchin monkeys (Sapajus nigritus), with particular emphasis on tool use in urban environments. I examine how ecological variables, such as resource availability, habitat structure, and terrestriality, influence the occurrence and variation of tool-use behaviors. More broadly, my work seeks to understand how environmental pressures shape behavioral flexibility and contribute to primate adaptation in fragmented landscapes.
Curriculum Vitae
I hold a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual do Norte do Paraná (2017) and an M.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (2023), with a specialization in Biodiversity and Conservation in Fragmented Habitats. Since 2023, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in the same program.
