Main Focus

I'm interested in the nexus of animal behaviour, sensory biology, collectives and all things in between these borders. Using a combination of field observations and computational modelling I aim to understand how animals carry off seemingly impossible tasks with ease.

2021-present: Postdoc at the Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour in the Couzin department. Working on analysing the multi-sensor Ushichka dataset of bat collective behaviour and echolocation in the wild

2015-2021: Doctoral work at MPI for Ornithology (Seewiesen) working on echolocation in groups of bats. PhD thesis link

2014-2015: Research assistant and lab manager, Azim Premji University (Bengaluru) - working on web construction and silk investment in social spiders.
