Main Focus

My PhD is about studying the ontogeny of decision-making in White Storks. I use experimental approaches and tracking data to disentangle innate, learnt and social aspects behind decisions that individuals make throughout their migratory journeys. I also study the Carry Over Effects (COEs) of these decisions over multiple seasons.
Previously, I have worked on the ecology and behaviour of social spiders as well as camera trapping for mammals in the Western Ghats of India.

The GPS collar I wear would inform you that outside office hours I can be found playing badminton, birding or making origami!
