I love to tinker, from robots to insects. During my PhD from NCBS, India, I built a naturalistic multimodal virtual reality, combining panoramic vision, olfaction and wind. I used it to deconstruct the decision processes in multiple flying insects during search behaviour. Currently, I am a postdoc at Max Planck Institute of Animal Behaviour, Konstanz and I am trying to understand the mechanistic basis of swarm intelligence. How does individual decision making of multiple agents and their interactions give rise to collective choices using Matrix VR.
