Going Wild - Final Presentations of the VTK

Our Organismal Biology: Going Wild VTK (Wikelski, Dechmann) will present the results from our fieldwork experience working with Egyptian Fruit Bats (Rousettus aegyptiacus) in Cyprus. Using the multisensor Wild-Fi tags (created by Timm Wild), and intensive ground-truthing, we collected GPS, proximity, acceleration, and environmental data on 99 individuals. With this data, we students are looking at habitat use, foraging behavior, energetic costs in different weather conditions, and attempt to build a social network with the new proximity data.
