SOS, user-friendly framework for Earth Observation data exploitation

The list of available Earth Observation exploitation platforms and software tools is long and often difficult to overview and evaluate due to the interdisciplinary nature of the fiel. Our goal with this interdisciplinary project is to create a user-friendly framework for accessing and analyzing Earth Observation data, particularly for integrating them with animal movement data.
The SOS project is a DFG funded Reseach Unit composed by remote sensing experts (German Aerospace Center (DLR), University of Würzburg), computer scientists (University of Würzburg, Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ)) and computational ecologists (Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior).
