We seek to prepare young motivated researchers with the minimum entry requirement of a Master's or an equivalent degree level. In exceptional cases, graduates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree (with written thesis) in a related subject are considered. It is not necessary to hold the final degree at the time of application.

Candidates need to be fluent in written and spoken English and - unless native speakers - have to document their proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL). German is not required. Students from abroad will be offered opportunities to take German courses.

Latest starting date for the 2023 program is October 1st, 2023.
